I wonder if Big Finish could do it

I mean, they already do all the sound effects and know all the actors, and half of the people working on the current series started on Big Finish.  I know a filmed drama is different than a radio drama, but… it could be a whole new thing for them.

Paul McGann has revealed that he has actually signed a petition for an Eighth Doctor spin-off.

On a panel at Comicpalooza, McGann said: “I signed it! But keep it under your fez.” It’s a bit late for that!

“Of course I would do it,” he continued. “Should anything like that ever happen again, I can only assume it would happen like it did last year – there’d be a call saying ‘could you start on Monday?’”

He added: “The thing is, I’m warmed up now. I could do it now. When we got to shoot ‘The Night of the Doctor’ I was so glad for the audience. I got to keep my hand in, so to speak, because I felt like I knew what I was doing.”

“The second I put the kit on, I  felt like the Doctor.”

You never forget your first Doctor

Also, Damnit Beverly, stop whining and just do what the computer tells you, it's smarter than you.

Hey, strange #DoctorWho canon question

Hey, strange #DoctorWho canon question… when the Doctor saw his own "body" on Trenzalore, he said that when he died he didn't leave a body behind, only a "scar".  So… how come the Master left a body?  All the other Time Lords that we've seen mowed down over the years by Daleks or Sontarans?  Even if none of them were as well-traveled as The Doctor, they still are time travelers possessing of multiple forms…

SCIFI ARGUEMENT STARTER OF THE DAY!

The TARDIS materializes onboard Serenity (post Episode 14, pre-movie).  After fending off a swarm of reality-hopping nano-insects (brilliantly handled by The Doctor and Kaylee reversing the polarity of the neutron flow through Serenity's engines) he prepares to leave.

As he stands there at the door to the TARDIS, saying goodbye to his new friends (and Jayne)… he offers to take one of them with him, promising that he'll have them back before anybody misses them (because… you know… time machine).

Who does he take with him, and why?

WHOOVIANS

You know, it never occurred to me… but maybe this here is the reason that day was a "fixed point" in time.  River, crossing timelines with herself three times over in a single point.  If any one of them had somehow altered the sequence of events (ok, not likely for fetus River, but Amy might have) it wouldn't just create one paradox, it could create paradoxes to the power of paradoxes that rip the fabric of time and space apart (as seen in the episode where she does just that).

I mean, The Doctor does shit like that all the time, but he's a genuine article Time Lord, possibly much more… and also, usually multi-Doctor events take place in Time-neutral places (like inside The TARDIS or on Gallifrey, and (at least in the old days) were under the watchful eye of Time Lords with more common sense than the Doctor who could maintain the Web of Time.

Also, hat tip to +Timothy Holmes who shared this to my stream.
